Mechcanical Systems

Mechanical systems in an A-frame home must fit within a compact, steep-roof structure while preserving open interiors, so HVAC often relies on ductless mini-splits, efficient ventilation, and ceiling fans to manage tall volumes.  Plumbing and electrical are typically concentrated along end walls and routed through floor systems, partitions, and knee walls, creating short, protected runs that simplify installation and winterization.  Because the roof dominates the envelope, continuous insulation, careful air sealing, and options like metal roofing with solar panels are critical to comfort and energy performance.
